Mission/Objective : Supporting Prempeh College is our primary mission

Amanfoo North America Prempeh Endowment Fund (“ANAPEF”) has the primary mission of supporting Prempeh College to maintain its high standards of academic achievement and grooming future leaders in science, commerce, industry, the arts, public administration and government. With rising student population, aging and inadequate school facilities, and dwindling public support, there is a need to find alternative source(s) of funds to build and maintain facilities, provide challenging academic programs and a serene environment of academic excellence to help Prempeh College maintain its high academic standards and scale new heights in developing and shaping the leaders of tomorrow. ANAPEF therefore seeks to build a pool of funds to help address the financial needs of Prempeh College over the long term, provide ongoing annual budgetary support to close the gap in short-term funding needs of the school, as well as maintain a planned giving program to help alumni of the school (“Amanfoo”) and other prospective donors who wish to support the school, during and after their lifetime, meet their charitable giving objectives. We look particularly to the Amanfoo community and parents of students, as well as friends and volunteers to support us in our mission to make Prempeh College the preeminent high school in Ghana. Your generous contribution to ANAPEF will help it to fulfil this mission.

ANAPEF is a Texas not-for-profit corporation and tax-exempt entity under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Your contribution to ANAPEF is tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Background/History

ANAPEF was established in March 2017 by Amanfoo North America Incorporated, a Maryland nonprofit corporation (“ANA”). ANA is a membership organization, the alumni association of Prempeh College old students domiciled in North America. ANAPEF was established as part of ANA’s continuous commitment to support Prempeh College. In setting up ANAPEF, ANA sought to provide an organized and focused means of raising funds to support Prempeh College now and in the future. ANAPEF and ANA cooperate and coordinate in raising funds in support of ANAPEF’s mission and their shared objective to support Prempeh College. 

About Prempeh College

Prempeh College is a secondary educational institution located at Sofoline, a suburb of Kumasi, in the Asante Region of Ghana. The School is named after Otumfour Agyemang Prempeh II, the Asantehene and was established in 1949 as the first secondary educational institution in the Asante Region. 

Amanfoo North America Prempeh Endowment Fund (ANAPEF) is a Texas nonprofit and a charitable organization recognized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to ANAPEF are deductible to the extent allowed by law.
